SPorty Pride Charter

At Porty Pride, we believe that sport should be welcoming, safe and inclusive for everyone, regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. 

By signing this charter, clubs commit to fostering a culture of respect, dignity and fairness, where all participants, volunteers and supporters feel able to be themselves without fear of discrimination, harassment or exclusion. 

We will promote visible and active inclusion, challenge racism, inappropriate language or behaviour, and ensure that our environments both on and off or out of the field/court/water reflect our shared values of equality and belonging.

As part of this commitment, clubs agree to take practical steps to embed inclusion in their activities, including raising awareness among members, supporting LGBTQ+ visibility for ALL our community, and reviewing policies, practices and communications to ensure they are inclusive. 

Clubs will also use their voice and influence to advocate for more inclusive rules and frameworks within their respective governing bodies, helping to drive wider change across sport. 

We will work together to create positive sporting experiences for all LGBTQ+ people, encourage participation at all levels, and stand in solidarity with those who experience discrimination, committing to anti-racism action, continuous learning and improvement to make sport in our community truly open to all.
