Event Description
This workshop will demonstrate some physical self defense tactics with a chance to practice them with a partner.
This workshop involves a lot of physicality therefore please attend in pairs with someone you feel safe and comfortable practicing these techniques with.
Please note that whilst training will be done gently and with utmost care for participants, you attend at your own risk and if you have any concerns or questions please get in touch beforehand.
This workshop is open to anyone (age, size, mobility, fitness or abilities).
We can adapt the exercises to suit.
What to expect
Warm up exercise
Discussion and demonstration of principles of self defense in martial arts
Techniques for getting out of physical contact (having your wrist grabbed for instance).
Techniques for avoiding physical attacks such as punching.
