Visiting Porty Pride
Accessibility and transport info:
There are plenty of places to lock up bikes around Portobello. The nearest bus stops are on Portobello High Street. Parking is limited especially as it is likely to be busy at the weekend.
There will be access to bathrooms at Porty Town Hall, Bath Street and on the Prom near Oscar’s Ice Cream on the Prom.
There are two car parks in Portobello that have blue badge spots.
1. Tumbles in Portobello on the Seafield end of the promenade at 20 Westbank Street, EH15 1DR
2. Bridge Street car park
Please be aware that it is common for unattended children and dogs in this area, driving by customers that is too fast for the car park, bad parking and individuals going the wrong way around the one way system.
We have events happening on Portobello beach and you may be interested in hiring a Beach Wheelchair if relevant - please see more information here
ACCESSIBILITY
In order to make Porty Pride more accessible to those on a low income but still community-funded, we use a sliding scale ticket price for some of our events. You can choose what you pay based on your circumstances – you won’t be asked for any proof/ID. We just ask that you are honest!
We have indicated individually which events are indoors or outdoors below.
Mask wearing is supported and encouraged (and will not be challenged) and we will have masks available for anyone to use. We recommend all who attend Porty Pride to do a Lateral Flow Test before attending an event. We support anyone wishing to be seated at a safe distance during an event, please just ask.
