Queer and the Cost of Living Crisis

This panel thinks through being queer in the context of the cost of living crisis. What does it mean to live with, through, in and beyond crisis? Is it the forever state of queer existence? Or might queer experience tell us something about ways in - and out of - crisis times? How can queer life inform solutions to crisis and how can we think locally, nationally and globally? When queer life is often subject to inequality, might turning to queer precarity, persistence, even progress or profit, trigger a re-imagining of contemporary crisis? Drawing on a range of academic, creative, practitioner, third sector and experiential perspectives, the panel will offer thoughts, feelings, hopes and possibly question. Come join us to think forward through 'Queer and the Cost of Living Crisis'.
