An Invitation To Gather.

Soapbox and Tribe Porty are collaborating to bring you an evening of storytelling.

Storytelling has been around forever. Adopted as marketing speak in recent decades, it has been in folklore, and has been native to how we gather, for centuries. Sharing stories is about choosing connection, they have the power to inspire; to draw us in and make us feel less alone, make us cry, laugh, get angry, and become invested. Ultimately, we make sense of the world through the receiving and giving of stories. However, due to modern technology and the rise of social media apps we are now swamped with stories. At their core, this particular type of story strives to sell you another product, desire or lifestyle. We are in the breadth of an era of quick content, another flash of a story with each swipe. Nothing nourishing, just time spent. The outcome of this is that we are both desensitized and bored. Not only have we become over informed but the substance is missing.

We’re all hungry for authentic connection.

Join us on June 28th at Tribe Porty from 5:30pm until 7:30pm. To gather, to be inspired, to be heard, to tell (and to listen) to stories.

The evening is in partnership with Porty Pride with stories falling under the theme: LOVE. Read more about the event here at Tribe’s blogpost.

Tickets are free, although donations/pay-what-you can is welcome and these will be split between Porty Pride and Tribe Porty - feeding back into our communities. Suggested donation is £5.
